The Intifada, which literally means “war of the stones” in Arabic. The first Intefada started in 1987 and continued until 1989. Arab terrorist groups were dedicated to destruct the State of Israel . There were 39 people killed during the initial phase of the Intifada. In September of 1993 the Oslo Accords were signed in the hope of bringing peace to the region. Instead of peace, Israel experienced more turmoil when more terrorist organizations such as Islamic Jihad, Hamas, and extremist groups like them turned their own children into suicide bombers to go into Israeli crowds, buses, discotheques, restaurants, and other public places and blow themselves up. The goal was to kill as many of the “infidels” as possible. In order to stop this insanity another peace treaty was signed between Israel and the Arabs in 2000. Instead of abiding by it, Israel ’s peace partners were even more set on obliteration. To this day these people have not changed except to become more proficient and advanced in their stealth and lethal material. There is much heartbreak and wounds with the killing of 1,376 Jewish people and the wounding of hundreds more psychologically, physically, and emotionally. Surviving Terrorism? What about those thousands who weren’t murdered but survived with injuries? |
